“…After a couple of months of major instability and a few ample eruptions, the first in 20 years, 10,197 foot Mt. Redoubt finally begins to subside in intensity. In this grand view from 12,000 feet and looking south, Redoubt continues to expel steam and ash into the upper level winds, sending the ash cloud over Cook Inlet and towards the Kenai Peninsula. Low level clouds fill in the lower valleys letting only the higher peaks show through. Activity has returned so far to a steam plume hardly discernible from cloud cover…”
