Mountain Light

Alaska Aurora Photography

A full moon sets in the west as eastern dawn rises behind the Chugach Mountains, and between the two light sources, remarkable sheets of lavender aurora dance across the northeastern sky. Moments later both the aurora and the stars disappear as the long Alaskan sunrise reasserts itself.
