The majestic display danced vigorously above the city for several minutes, dwarfing the small man-made lights below. Folks who were awake and outside were treated to a rare and wonderful show. If the power output of such an aurora were able to be collected and stored for mans’ use there would be enough to run Anchorage’s energy needs for a year or so…”
