Though the Great Alaska Quake of 1964 dropped the northern-most span, the amazing structure has stood solid against all the powerful natural forces which have acted upon it daily for almost a century. Moonlight throws its shadow on the river’s surface below as a rayed auroral curtain graces the scene amid wispy clouds…”
