Full Lunar Eclipse 5/2021
I hope this email finds everyone doing well & staying healthy!
Last Wednesday’s full lunar eclipse was stunning!
From moonrise over Kachemak Bay & the Kenai Mountains south of Homer…

…to the sequences towards maximum eclipse…start to finish was a real treat!

Due to short nights of Alaska’s spring/summer season, maximum eclipse fell into the blue twilight of pre-dawn skies before setting.
Below shows the wide-angle scene with the eclipse lowering to the southwest beyond Seldovia & Port Graham in the building blue of twilight.
The southern snow-capped peaks of the Kenai Mountains become lit by the pre-dawn as two ships pass in the dawn across Kachemak Bay.
Enjoy!
